Senior Landscape Architect
EPG’s Salt Lake City office is looking for a project landscape architect to assist with an exciting variety of projects which include resort hospitality, housing and single-family planning, campus master planning, high end residential, downtown economic development and plaza designs, parks, trails and open space, design guidelines and vision plans, environmental and restoration projects as well and leading and managing all types of development projects. We are looking for someone that communicates well, works in independently and in teams.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices.
Assist with marketing and business development efforts toward the establishment of a sustainable landscape architecture practice in the Salt Lake City office for EPG.
Actively engage in the community organizations such as participation on boards and commissions or other professional/community associations.
Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company.
Project level landscape architectural professional provides technical direction required for production and completion of both routine and unique or complex projects.
Responsible for conceptualizing the initial design and/or investigative approach for a major phase of a large project or have overall responsibility for the landscape architectural work on a project of moderate scope.
Coordinate with clients and local, state, and federal agencies. Maintain project schedules including tasks management. Provide direction and leadership of interdisciplinary resource specialists at EPG and subconsultants, as needed.
Provide review of projects requiring complex and innovative investigation techniques and supervises the analysis and formulation of recommendations in written reports to clients; provides technical review of reports.
Actively maintain professional landscape architecture registration/licensing in the State of Utah, Arizona, and other states as needed. Manage, produce, review, refine, and implement landscape architectural services for the Salt Lake City office, and other EPG offices as needed.
Lead, manage, and mentor landscape architectural staff in the Salt Lake City office, and other offices as needed; conduct semi-annual performance reviews for the landscape architectural staff in the Salt Lake City office.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
Minimum 6+ years’ experience..
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Registered Landscape Architect
Preferred Software Knowledge:
Must be proficient with the following programs:
LandFX
AutoCAD
Lumion
Adobe products
Microsoft products
Revit knowledge and experience would be a plus
