GILBERT POWERLINE TRAILHEAD
Gilbert, Arizona
EPG prepared conceptual design, construction documents and provide construction observation services for the Town of Gilbert Powerline Trail Multi-Use Path. The Powerline Trail project extends approximately 2,800 feet along a primary road in Gilbert, Arizona. The project included a 10-foot-wide, concrete, multi-use path, park ramada, seating nodes, landscaping, lighting, retaining walls, and accommodations for a future equestrian trail. Project components included: preparation of the conceptual site plan; facilitation of two community meetings; and 30, 60, 95, and 100 percent final plan submittals. Construction was completed in 2006.
Because the project included funding through an Enhancement Grant, the project was coordinated through the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to meet both Town of Gilbert and ADOT requirements. The EPG team assisted the own with bidding the project and was involved with regular observation during the construction phase. Project requirements included public involvement and coordination, field inventory including topographic survey, utility coordination/clearance, and planting and irrigation.
