Landscape Architect, Salt Lake City, Utah
Lauren is a professional landscape architect and project manager with experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of parks and recreation facilities, municipal buildings, streetscape improvements, transit facilities, commercial and office projects, master planned communities, and amenity centers for both public and private sector clients. Lauren’s career began in the Sonoran Desert where she fell in love with the vast difference of the desert landscape from her midwestern roots. She has spent her free time traveling around the west which has grown her appreciation of the western landscape and has inspired her work ever since. Her experience has taught her the importance of working in a collaborative environment and using precedents to create new designs that are exciting, desirable, and most importantly, useful for all users. Lauren's passion lies in creating spaces for communities that are used daily and encourage playfulness by celebrating color, texture and shapes. Attention to detail and appreciation of the design process provides her with the skills necessary to efficiently and effectively design, coordinate, and manage creative and innovative designs for each project.
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” – Chinese Proverb
Landscape architecture is much more than planting plans, but this proverb always reminds me of the mark that Landscape Architects have left over history; contributing to that impact on the world is what keeps me inspired.
