Brett Hoffer, ASLA
Landscape Designer, Salt Lake City, Utah
Brett is obsessed with all things Landscape Architecture, just ask his wife. Design is constantly on his mind, whether it’s in the studio with marker on his hands or at a family gathering in the backyard, he is always looking for inspiration. Prior to joining EPG in 2017, Brett earned a Bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning from Utah State University and completed three intern programs where he learned the power of the design process and open collaboration to improve every aspect of the project. Brett is experienced in site inventory and analysis, digital rendering of photo-realistic and conceptual images, 3D modeling, document layout, drafting, and construction document production. Also, having helped to build the LAEP department drone program while at USU, Brett has become an acute drone pilot. His broad experience has made him an influential member of our design team with the ability to solve complex environmental, economic, and cultural issues with fresh and original designs. Additionally, with a minor in Ornamental Horticulture, he provides the team with a strong understanding of woody and herbaceous plants and their needs.
“Landscape Architecture is much more than just throwing down some rocks and plants; it’s the responsibility of being able to influence people and their well-being through great design. That’s what gets me up in the morning, that and waffles”
